The celebs were very busy during 2008. Here is some updates of things that went on this year.

Lindsay Lohan and DJ Samantha Roson..A couple? Why am I not surprised.

On May 25, 2008 Lindsay Lohan was reported to be in a relationship with.. A girl. At first it seemed like Lohan and Roson were really good friends. But as things progressed it became evident that it was more then a friendship. Well she did run through all the guys. Even though It was very surprising to some and not so much to others. It was still one of the most random stories in Hollywood.

Paula Abdul..She would have some random stalker

One of the most ridiculous stories is Paula's stalker. Paula, who is a judge on American Idol, had a very obsessed stalker (Paula Goodspeed) who decided to come on the show. Paula asked producers not to let the girl in yet they did anyway. After the show Paula Goodspeed ended up killing herself out side of Abdul's home.

Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet Reunion?!

It's true that Dicaprio and Winslet are staring in Revolutionary Road. Everyone remembers the duo from the big hit movie Titanic. Titanic had people of all ages in tears. Can this team once again make a hit movie? The movie is set in the 1950's and tells a story about Frank and April Wheeler. They are a couple with two kids living in a suburb in Connecticut.

Leonardo Dicaprio..Thinking of marriage..NOOOO!

Leonardo Dicaprio, 34 was interviewed and said he is talking about settling down. Dicaprio says all of his friends around him are settling down and having kids and he's looking forward to it. Dicaprio says "So much of my life has been spent on some far-off movie location and so little of it has been lived normally. I want to get married and have children." Dicaprio..Settling down..I'm sure billions of hearts just broke. Dicaprio, the titanic heartthrob, is loved around the world by many females..and I'm sure many Men. Fans remember him all the way back to his days as Luke Brower Seaver, the adopted character on Growing Pains, to his more recent realeases like Blood Diamond. He also played Romeo in the modern day Romeo and Juilet. One of his most memorable movies was ofcourse Titanic. Playing a poor boy named Jack.

Leonardo Dicaprio wanting to get married..worse news I've heard all week. He will probably get married to Kate Bosworth or some blond Victoria Secret model. Dicaprio is intelligent yet he goes for girls who fall short in that area. Why is this? Well I'll be happy if he gets married to an intelligent. strong, women. But that would be asking Dicaprio to go way out of his box.

Return to the Nightmare.

Nightmare Revisited is the redone version of the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack. Artists like Amy Lee from Evanesense, Marilyn Mason, All American Rejects, and Korn sing their versions of the classic songs.

Nightmare Revisited is an ok cd. It's cool how the different artists came together to put their own unique spin on the songs. Amy Lee's version of "Sally's song" was actually pretty amazing. The new CD will probably make a profit. But why did this CD get made in the first place? Could there be a realistic Nightmare Before Christmas movie coming out soon?

Twilight the movie: Sucking the Life Out of the Book

Twlight by Stephenie Meyer has become a bestseller followed by New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. The book takes you into a world of vampires living in a human world trying to be as normal as possible. Bella Swan moves to town and meets Edward Cullen. His unatural beauty shocks her. But there is way more to Edward then what you see. The Twilight Series a love story with a twist. Like almost all movies there is always someone who has to either ruin a book by turning it into a movie or make it just as good. The movie Twilight....FAIL!

First off who decided that Robert Pattinson, Who was first notices as Cedric in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, should play Edward Cullen? Somebody who in the book is said to be "immortally hot" is now just...blah. Some scenes in this trailer seemed to appear out of nowhere. Did they really have that much trouble following the book? About the chemistry between Kirsten Stewart and Robert Pattinson..where is it? The whole trailer of those two together seemed completely awkward and unatural. Even more ridiculous, in the book when was Bella ever in her UNDERWARE!? Its obviously because "sex" is supposed to "sell"..Well I bet I can speak for a lot of people when I say that there isn't anything very "sexy" about Kirsten Stewart in grannie panties.

Teenage Life on Television

Teen life has become an appealing topic on Televison today. Different stories about teenagers living life outside and inside of highschool. The plot is always full of dramatic events. In these series' no one stays ok for long. Something "terrible" always happens thats sends the characters life on a down word spin. TV shows like Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, O.C., and Degrassi: The Next Generation are all examples of teen life at its most dramatic.

Gossip Girl has become an iconic hit with only two seasons on the air. With all the guys, fashion and of course gossip what teenage girl wouldn't be attracted too it? With its dramatic scenes that focus on friends, relationships, money, and even in some cases drugs it will surely have as much, if not more, success as O.C and One Tree Hill. Gossip Girl is about a high class society of teens living their lives. The voice of Gossip Girl is played by actress Kirsten Bell. Gossip girl is never seen only heard. Serena Van der Woodsen (played by Blake Livly) comes back to town after leaving school because of a scandal that happened during the previous year, which starts the whole first episode. The New Yorker upper class clothing and scene is what brings in fans. Teenage Girls copy the styles of Blair Waldorf and other Characters. Another main reason teeage girls are such huge fans are the guys. Dan Humpfry the nice and intelligent "guy next door", Nate Archibold the very handsome honest guy, and ofcourse every drama needs its bad boy and that is Chuck Bass. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gossip_Girl_(TV_Series)

One Tree Hill is a hit being in its 6th season. We watch the cast go from highschool to life after highschool. They deal with things like drugs, sex, and other teen dramatics. One Tree Hill is more mellow in the sense that its in a small town. Compared to shows like the O.C. and Gossip Girl who are more rich. One Tree Hill appeals a lot of teens in the sense that its more like their normal lives. Actor Chad Micheal Murray plays Lucas Scott, the star of the show. He plays the best friend, boyfriend, and all around good guy. We follow his life from highschool to adulthood where he has to choose which girl he wants to marry. The appeal of this show is a more normal way of showing teenage life. Even though weird things happen in this show its more realistic then other shows about teen life.

O.C. (Orange County) was canceled Febuary 2007 after one of the main characters Marissa Cooper, played by Mischa Barton, was killed in the show. In the O.C. we see life of teenagers in California. They also focus a lot on the parents and how they react to the teens. On the O.C. they show the parents point of view more then the other teen drama shows. This appeals to teenagers and some young adults. They can all relate more to the show.

Degrassi: The Next Generation is based off of a show is the fourth fictional series it follows The Kids of Degrassi Street, Degrassi Junior High, and Degrassi High. This show deals mainly with what happens in school. Since Degrassi is the name of the school. Emma Nelson is the character they start out with then it branches on to other kids. Degrassi appeals to teenagers because its all about school. Well the drama in school.

Shows like these have become so popular because of their take on the lives of teens around the world. Whether its how teens want their life to look like or whether they can relate these situations to their own lives. These shows have become popular because its teens want to find a "soultion" to their problems or get away and live through someone elses life.
