The ONLY Comic that will Survive

This is going to be the only comic movie true and good enough to through the Marvel name on. With Hugh Jackman coming back and the addion Deadpool played by Ryan Reynolds the wisecracking crazed mercenary with the same heal power as wolverine as he tries to out due him in everything and Taylor Kitschthe plays mutant Gambit which is an X-men favorite with the long history between them. It has been in devolpment since 2004 as Wolverine is a comic favorite and there tring to do it right and it looks like it will be better than the X-Men movies as it will follw the story a lot closer and a cast that is very into it. This is a most see for any comic fan and a very anticipated as it is released on May 1 of 2009

A Hefty Amount of Flop

No comic movie is safe. John Travolta and Thomas Jane made the movie debut of The Punisher awesome. Then, after no one came back, why would the movie be made with low budget and unknown stars? This movie sounds like a straight to DVD film. Well, you're wrong, it's a heavily promoted movie in theaters. The film has no plot, just action like a Jason Statham, Steven Seagal ultra movie mix with a firework show like 4th of July. I don't know if they want to distract you from the new cast or just couldn't afford it after the pyro stunt bill came in. Instead of spending ten dollars and even more for food, I could go to Monster Jam at the Metrodome on 12/06/08 for 6 bucks and get the same pleasure out of it. So like every other movie comic series, they sell out in favor of a stereotypical dude flick.

Fallout 3: Game or Future

Fallout 3 has consumed my life and probably everyone else's if they've played it. It's a post-apocalyptic action role-playing game set in 2277. This is the third major game in the series. The main character is a member of a fallout shelter and the game picks up quite quickly. You start out playing as a child to get a hold of the controls, then in the first 20 minutes you're forced to leave the shelter and see everything as well as explore with optional quests.

Unfortunately, there's been some controversy over this game in certain countries. In Australia, it's illegal to distribute the game due to the extreme drug references and realistic problems (there's parts in it ware you can become an addict). They completely banned the game from India due to mutated cows with two heads and huge udders. In Japan they edited out a side quest where you can detonate an atom bomb due to their past.

I personally love this game because it's a future version of another Bethesda game, Oblivion, only it's not knights, kings, and mystical creatures. This is a realistic future if we had four more years of Bush or just four years of McCain so if anything like this happens, I'm ready for this. I'm jumping into a bunker then raiding all places if my place doesn't lock me in for years and start a society in a bunker.

How the Media Raped and Pillaged My Childhood

All the shows that you used to watch in front of the TV with your Cap'n Crunch are now all turning into movies (if not now, then in the near future). It started with my comics but those were doomed to be movies with all the technology and demand. Spider-man ONE was great I loved the first Batman and didn't mind the new X-Men and the twisted plot it had but then instead of leaving it alone they made four more Batman and two more X-Men, then too many Superman movies. There's even more comic movies than there are original movies. Name a mainstream comic and there's bound to be a movie of it, and depending on when it was made and who made it, it might suck.

So then they switch to my cartoons. A Speed Racer movie was made, and as that was released a G.I. Joe movie was made, and now the low blow is the DragonBall movie. It is a very long show and it's been condensed to an hour - mix in the already confusing plot, and the people who watched the show will be pissed while the new watchers will be confused and lost. It seems like a corny Kung Fu movie they threw the name on to get viewers. It's going to be watched and complained about but it will make money and probably lead to Dragonball Z movies and more of my childhood memories turned into a lousy 2 hour movie (that I'll pay to see and b*tch about). Next thing you know Johnny Quest or Doug will have a movie coming in '09.

Everyone has seen an XXX Movie

Everyone has seen a rated X or NC-17 movie almost every rated r movie in theaters has been rated x at one point in time. Occasionally an R-rated film will have footage added to earn an NC-17 rating and its accompanying notoriety. In at least one case, an R-rated film was re-rated NC-17 even though no edits were made but must sellout and edit to get there movie on the big scene. This is a corporate decision to put a movie out and the scenes directors edited it to get the rated and take their own art out. These directors just are the puppets in a huge game some take unnecessary things out and that’s fine but when they change the piece as a whole it’s a little degrading that I have to buy a movie to see the real movie.


In 1971 A Clockwork Orange was rated X on its original release in the United States. Stanley Kubrick replaced 30 seconds of footage from two scenes with less bawdy action for a 1973 re-release, to get around the R-rating. All DVDs present the original X-rated form and there is now no A Clockwork Orange movie with an R rating.

In 2004 the movie Saw was shown at the Sundance Film Festival with the rating of NC-17 and was a huge success which lead to the main scene and the cuts and edits changed it to a rated R. There are little changes such as extra seconds of gore and death. But if it’s just small increments why edited the changes.


From 1951 to now the rating system has changed for the better or worst the rating do not tell you or advise you anymore there guidelines for the directors. The movies have change from rating to guiding how to make a movie. Why does it exist if it dictates the movie itself and not what the movie shows. The rating system is flawed and with it this way there should be no system just different genres of movies.

Madden Franchise

One of the most dominating sports games ever in gaming history is the John Madden series two decades it has crushed other football games. NFL Fever, NFL GameDay, NFL Blitz, and Quarterback Club all have fallen to the all mighty Madden; Joe Montana’s football gave Madden run for its money in the early 90’s then fell. John dominated real football in the 70’s and now owns the virtual football scene.

This gaming giant has something new every year. The graphics are ahead of its time. Madden 2000 or Madden64 is one of the first 3d football games. In the 2000’s the innovative “folks” of EA sports just made it a habit of new tools every year. 2006 they added QB vision with this feature, a cone of spotlight emits from the quarterback during passing plays, simulating his field of vision. The better the quarterback the bigger the cone. In ‘07 Lead Blocker Controls which allow users to control blockers during running plays and added the “truck stick” for anyone with the ball the dodge or elude defenders. 2008 Madden weapons were added to allow superstar players to be noticed at what there excel at. Madden 2009 they added the Madden IQ that change and adapt to you and your skill level.

In 2001 it was the first Madden without John on the cover. That lead to the “Madden Curse”. Eddie George, Daunte Culpepper, Marshal Faulk, Michael Vick, Ray Lewis, Donovan McNabb, Shaun Alexander, and latest Vince Young is now hurt this season. No one knows if it’s the curse or people think about it and it happens maybe Brett Favre will break the curse.
The Madden franchise will live long after John passes. It’s in the top ten grossing game franchise of all time.
