EMO V.S SCENE -->
A lot of people are too quick to stereotype. Especially when it comes to kids being emo/scene. many people think that scene and emo are the same thing, but I see them being very different. I would suggest you do your research and make sure you have it right. Scene is someone who likes to attend shows and events and be completely where everyone else is. Where as emo kids are whiny little kids with a total fake personality that likes to do stuff for attention and they look more goth. But also if you want to technically talk, emo is really a form of music that is soft punk. NOT like all time low, but more like dashboard confessional. But i will add that dashboard is one of their influences.

The difference between scene and emo are very hard to see. But believe it or not, All time low are not either one of these. If you really listen to their lyrics, they sing about how they remember the times they stayed out late, and how they had great friends that they will never forget. The lyrics from "Vegas" tell a story about how he had gone on road trips with his friends, and had great times with them. And even though not all of us have been on a road trip, we have all have done something memorable with all of our friends that we never want to forget. As these lyrics state, "There's a ghost in this room I think I'll name it after all of you And watch it hang over my bed like decorations celebrated Memories, they came and went in light of all the time we spent Listening to everything our parents told us not to take."

So if we want to bring up the emo and how whiny everyone thinks emo is, then we can bring up Hawthorne Heights, with their tear-jerking lyrics about not being able to make it without the one person you love, or how you should be sorry about everything that you couldn't prevent. The lyrics from possibly the most stereotypical emo song, "Ohio is for lovers", the story of how a boy had fallen in "love" with this girl and she wasn't with him anymore, and he couldn't live with out her. "And I can't make it on my own.(And I can't make it on my own.)Because my heart is in Ohio.So cut my wrists and black my eyes.(Cut my wrists and black my eyes)So I can fall asleep tonight, or die.Because you kill me.You know you do, you kill me well.You like it too, and I can tell.You never stop until my final breath is gone".
So at this point, I don't even have to state the difference between the two, but I am going to anyway. We have all been through the times where we've had friends we don't want to forget, or we have been with someone or loved someone who was going away and we wanted to go with, or we were going away and we wanted to stuff them in our trunk or bags and take them with us. or we have been in a relationship that had brought us down so bad that we wanted to mark it out of our "history books" and we have all had that sweet good bye. but none of us have ever ever ever said, I'm sure that we don't like ourselves so much that we want to slit our wrists, and close our eyes and wait to die. at least i would hope not.
