Milton Bradley has barely ever incorporated race into its board games. For instance, in Monopoly there are no other races besides caucasian. Also, there are only caucasions in The Price is Right and Shenanigans. One of the only exceptions is The Game of Life, which portrays a stereotypical family of color. They try to compensate for their lack of diversity by adding in a few characters of a different race, but it's evident that such poor representation will not appeal to the few "other" races they're trying to sell to.
This video is amusing for more than one reason. The first reason is, because you dont really think about racial differences when you are playing games intended for children. Secondly, it teaches kids to lead their attention away from non-white people in the game, and eventually in general. This game is SOO targeting young white kids. Or it could be targeting young black kids trying to teach them that their race is not as "good"
It kind of makes you if wonder if they did this intentionally. When you look at the Milton Bradley games now, there is a lot of race jammed into every household child's game that's recent, or just a remake of the older games. Coincidence?.... I think NOT!! But then everyone is entitled to there own opinion.
