Sing It Loud, a band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, released their first CD, Come Around, in September. They kicked off their debut with a free show and signing at the Mall of America in Best Buy Central, and the signing in Zumiez. They had started their debut album with songs about their home town (Minneapolis), their experiences with girls, driving on 494, realizing where they are in life, and trying to make sense of the world.
The band and their upbeat melodies are inspiring to young teenage girls and boys, telling them there is more to the world than just their small hometown, but also telling them to never forget where they come from in their song Mpls. Lyrics: "It's Saturday night and snow hits my windshield going north on 494. My hair is a mess, the radio station is drowning out the sounds of the car - I know this is it, how did I get here? For seven years they watched me drown. I know this is it, I think I'll keep going - just don't let me turn around."
All in all, I think this was a great start for the band. It's amazing how big they got in such a short amount of time.
