Raekwon's New Album

After over fifteen years of anticipation the long awaited sequel to Only Built 4 Cuban Linx has finally dropped. Although it was said the album was finished in 2006, it only came out this month. Despite rap being in a pretty rough shape, and most fans of hip hop oblivious to the Wu Tang, this album will really help these unfortunate things.

I think with this album Raekwon really wanted to show how the state of hip hop has gradually declined since the 90's. A message he is trying to get across is to rappers who are trying to get up in the business and make some money, is to not. If they don't want to take his advice then, he'd at least like them to study the game and practice and be a poet before a rapper. Finally, another message he is trying to get across is that the Wu Tang is not to be messed with.

There are definitely some hidden messages that are harder to distinguish, or semiotics, in OB4CL2. (Only built 4 cuban linx 2) One example is the fact that so many different producers contribued to this great work of art, and that further proves that the album can not be touched. As you can see, this is a very interesting topic. Ha ha.
