The 2009 Hiphop awards was good it wasn't just straight awards they had some good performances like Soulja boy, Dorrough and the cyphers. They peformed songs that people listen to or songs that people really liked Dorrough did ice cream paint job that song was a hit when it came out people would just play that song because it banged also they did songs that people knew and heard before and thats what got the crowd reallly pumped.
When the people gave the awards they gave the people recogintion for the art they do and if they didn't have awards for peoples greatness then how would people be able to give shoutouts to people that helped them get where they are at now.Rappers that have been rapping for a long time when they get a award they get happy because of how long they did rap for and they finally got there respect and got there recognition for doing something that have loved.
