Musicals (theater) is truly for the love of art. Actors put a lot of work and time into their characters although they are not as famous and recognized as Hollywood actors. In a way this form of art is still pretty "underground" but is getting greater attention and being recognized annualy by the Tony Awards.
Not like High School Musical for example that took place in a movie theatre. It worked the first time and decided to make two more. Of course, so obvious, all about the money $$$.
