The movie chucky is a exploitative media text. Its shocking because it shows a doll involved in violent acts. Dolls are supposed to make kids happy most of the time and this is an example of the opposite. He is hurting kids and people in this movie. Its also shocking because it sort of looks like a kid movie but isn't. I don't think kids could watch this or be allowed to.

I think this could directly influence kids to go out and try this behavior out. It makes it look like it is cool. It also makes it look like you could get away with doing that type of stuff. It looks more intresting so you are curious to watch it. I don't think it directly influences adults though.
