Anyone who lives in Minneapolis and frequents Uptown probably knows about the Uptown Theater and how every saturday at midnight they play old movie cult classics on the big screen. On December 20th, four days before Christmas, they will be showing Tim Burton's classic The Nightmare Before Christmas. The basic premise of the movie (for those who don't already know) is that little towns exist for all the major holidays. Jack Skellington is the skeleton king of Halloween town who accidentally stumbles into Christmastown. Entranced by the snow, bright lights, and presents, he decides to bring Christmas to Halloweentown. It's a wonderful fantasy movie, humorous and dark, and on top of that it's a musical. So, if any of you have never seen The Nightmare Before Christmas I suggest you check it out, and for those fans out there I'll see you at midnight!
