South Park is great because it makes fun of everyone, every type of people, they don't really discriminate they just clown on everything. I think one thing that makes their show so popular is the mass amount of violence.
These days if you want to make a hit T.V. show or movie it's probably not going to do very well without violence, I mean it could, but there are a lot of shows that wouldn't be anything without all of their violence. I think its so popular because all of the violence excites people and also because there's a comedic aspect to it as well. Such as when Kenny gets randomly slaughtered its funny because we know its coming but its different and entertaining every time.
