Today in our world the media runs everything that we do. They controll what we wear, eat, cars we own, and many other things that we do. But for young kids this can be very dangerous, because they are molded from what they see. One major contributer to this problem is video games. Most kids have them, and most kids spend lots of time playing them. But what are they teaching them?
One example of a violent game would be Grand Theft Auto. In this game you are a illeagal imagrent that is out for revenge. This game is packed with lots of violence, mabe the most that any other video game on the market. In the game there is missions that you can do, but lets face it no 10 year old is doing the mission. For them its all about killing random people and hookers and running from the law.
Who is to blame? Lots of people say that the companies that make the game should not be making them. But no one ever talks about the parents that go out and buy the games. I think that the companies that make the games should not be getting all the criticism, because they do their by labeling the game mature. I think its up to the parents to be smart and just not by the game for the kid.
